Hi, I’m Shelia Butler — Welcome!
I’m ridiculously passionate about small business and my goal is to help you get the business, customers and life you deserve.
If you want a business that runs smoothly, customers that sing your praises and freedom to work on your business instead of in your business, you’re in the right place.
Here’s the deal:
In order to have a successful business that doesn’t require you to do, approve and touch everything, affords you the freedom to have a life outside of work and gives you more happy moment than heart burn….you must learn the simple steps of organizational practices and processes.
Everything in life is a balance of systems and running a business is no different.
If you’re a small business owner feeling overwhelmed by everything it takes to run your business, you’re going to love me.
That’s because I’m part business and operations strategist, part technology nut, and part social media enthusiast all wrapped up in one non-BS package.
I help people get their life back and turn their business around by either consulting, educating or simply inspiring.
I make it as simple as possible by breaking down the steps, practices, and research into brilliant shortcuts that can help you transform your business immediately.
As a matter of fact…I created my WebTV show Successful Women Talk with one goal in mind — to highlight Successful Women.
Why you might ask?
It’s simple — I truly believe you can be anything you want to be! I also believe that finding a mentor is extremely helpful in this thing we call life and who better to mentor and role model than other successful women!
Just a Little About Me
I was born and raised in a small West Texas town — to a mom and dad that taught me the importance of honesty and hard work.
I was a good daughter, terrible student, never read a book cover to cover until I was 20, only liked school because of the social aspect and was on course to serve fast food for the rest of my life until it hit me…I can do anything I set my mind to!
I enrolled at Odessa College and never looked back. I completed my degree in Respiratory Care and spent the early part of my career in Neonatal and Pediatrics — including ground and air transport. I completed my under graduate degree at Midwestern State University and graduated with honors in 2002.
I later transitioned into adult education and served as Department Chair and Director of Respiratory Care at a couple of colleges.
In 2002 I made the decision to diversify my skills sets and started an MBA program at Baylor University and graduated in 2004. This change is what put me on the path to entrepreneurship.
It was in business school where I met my former business partner. We started and grew a multi-seven figure wholesale furniture and decor business — Aidan Gray Home. After spending seven year successfully co-owning and running the company, I made the decision to change paths and focus on Children’s design and decor. This decision was not surprising as through the gift of adoption, we welcomed 2 little giants into our home within an 11 month period.
I launched Me Giant, Inc. in the summer of 2011 and have some fun and exciting things happening with line.
As I mentioned earlier, I’m ridiculously passionate about small business. I coach and mentor other businesses and business owners with an emphasis on working smarter not harder, creating a culture of raving fans and understanding the beauty of systems.
I think it’s an understatement to say that I’m the poster child for “You Can Do Anything You Set Your Mind To”! If I can do it…so can you.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have fun and benefit from what I do!
